This privacy policy describes how your information is collected, used and shared by Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and her affiliates and partners (collectively referred to as "NTA" or "we"), when you access news via the mobile application (NTA News) on the different mobile platforms: Android and iOS.
NTA reserves the rights to update this Privacy Policy when she deems necessary and at her sole discretion, so we encourage all users to review this policy whenever you access the news on our mobile application, as notice of all changes to this policy will be provided here or on our app listing pages on the various app stores.

Information you provide us
You provide us with some information when you interact with some features on our mobile application like the UReport or when you contact our customer support team.
The type of information includes:

- Your location or address
- Your phone number
- Other media content such as text, images and/or videos

When you download and use our mobile application, the type of information about you that we may automatically collect are listed below
- Your location - approximate (network-based) location or GPS location
- Account information - your email address and account information when sending us a report from the application
- Personal information - gender, age, country, device os

Usage analytics
NTA News uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how many people actively use the app and how they interact with its features. This service collects information such as app usage events, app-instance identifiers, device and operating system information, and approximate location derived from IP addresses. We use these insights to understand our audience and improve the app.
Crash reporting
NTA News uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes, diagnose technical problems, and improve app stability. Crashlytics collects crash reports, installation identifiers, and technical information such as device model, operating system, and app version. Reports may include app activity leading up to a crash to help us understand what went wrong.
Analytics and crash-data retention
Google processes this information to provide analytics and crash-reporting services. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured for our Google Analytics property. Firebase Crashlytics retains crash reports and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning their removal from its live and backup systems.

Advertising and third-party data collection
NTA News uses Google Ads to display advertisements. Although we do not directly collect personal information for advertising, Google and its advertising partners may collect information through the app, including device identifiers, IP addresses, advertising interactions, and diagnostic information. This information may be used to deliver advertisements, measure advertising performance, and detect or prevent fraud.

Data retention and deletion
Advertising data collected by Google and its advertising partners is retained according to their respective privacy policies. We do not directly store this advertising data or control its retention.
